Largest New eVTOL Order Placed By HALO/Directional Aviation It is becoming the norm to see eVTOL and Urban air vehicles of the future mature from design to development. As the development of vertiports (specialized small urban airports where eVTOLs will operate from) gets underway around the world, companies are becoming more incentivized to order eVTOL aircraft to prepare for the new future of urbanized air travel. To this end, the largest new eVTOL order has now been placed by a company called HALO/Directional Aviation.
The company has ordered 200 of Embraer’s four-passenger Eve eVTOL aircraft and anticipates taking delivery from 2026 to utilize in the UK and the United States. Directional Aviation Group operates companies like Flexjet so it is not surprising that they went with the Embraer eVTOL product as Flexjet operates several of Embraers executive jets already.
