  1. With the entry into service of the first Bombardier Global 7500 happening a few days ago the launch customer was not widely publicized. We knew ZenithJet was the company used to oversee the delivery process on behalf of the owner. We now know the first Global 7500 went to a company called Stonebriar Commercial. According to their website Stonebriar Commercial Finance is a privately held company that provides financing solutions to a wide variety of industries throughout the entire credit spectrum.
  2. Bombardier delivered this first Global 7500 on December 20th to this previously unnamed customer. Now that the first unit is out of the way, the focus will be to develop the ramp-up quota for the next few years to meet the demand of orders for the new aircraft type. The second 7500 is scheduled for delivery in early 2019 and by the end of next year they hope to ship between 15 and 20 units and ramp up to 35 to 40 in 2020. At present the Global 7500 has backlog into 2022. "Pride and excitement are profound understatements when it comes to the entry-into-service of our flagship Global 7500 aircraft," said David Coleal, President, Bombardier Business Aircraft. "This revolutionary aircraft is the gateway to a transformed business aviation landscape and a very bright future. No other aircraft can compare and this achievement demonstrates Bombardier’s commitment to deliver revolutionary and high-performing aircraft and provide customers with the best business jet experience in the world."
