  1. Second King Air 350CER Delivered To NOAA
The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has taken delivery of a second Textron Aviation King Air 350CER (Cargo-Extended Range) aircraft. The first one was delivered to the scientific weather organization back in 2009. "We are honored the King Air 350CER aircraft continues to be the aircraft of choice to fill a variety of critical mission needs for NOAA," said Textron Aviation special mission sales v-p Bob Gibbs. "The aircraft’s custom sensor port modification, combined with its extended-range-performance features, makes it a powerful and reliable platform to carry out the agency’s unique missions during critical times."
  2. The aircraft has the capability to loiter for up to eight hours. It's job in the NOAA fleet will be likely similar to the older King Air 350. That job usually involves coastal mapping and aerial surveying. They also carry out emergency response missions for some natural and man-made disasters like earthquakes and oil spills. Added features onboard this King Air 350CER include removable optical optical-grade glass plates that permit the aircraft to be operated in a pressurized or non-pressurized environment.
