  1. One Aviation Flies Eclipse 700 TestBed
Last month Jet Forums alerted you to the reveal of One Aviation's first Eclipse 700 TestBed aircraft. The aircraft is really an Eclipse EA500 body with the wings of the Eclipse 700 or what was termed as Project Canada. One Aviation said they are going this route simply because it is more cost effective and an easier way to fly an existing platform to be able to test the new wings on and gather the requisite data.
  2. We believe the first flight took place on Friday September 1st taking off from the company's headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The first flight lasted for approximately 1.3-hours and appeared to have gone well. In a company social media post, test pilot Jerry Chambers said the aircraft, “felt very solid, a testament to the engineering and build teams.” The first aircraft registered N990NE is the first testbed and more are expected to be built as the certification process deepens.
