  1. Honda Aircraft Now Offering Phased Maintenance Program For Customers
Honda Aircraft has been under pressure from at least one company that based its operation by utilizing the Honda Jet. According to that company, the airframer has not been up to standard with the maintenance program of its jets and it has cost them. Honda Aircraft did not respond to any of the accusations from the operator publicly until now, publishing a press release on March 2nd regarding a flexible phased maintenance program which is applicable to all the Honda Jet variants, i.e: HondaJet, Elite, Elite S, and Elite II.
  2. The new program which has been accepted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will be rolled-out next month (April) at all HondaJet Authorized Service Centers in the U.S. "We are very pleased to offer our new Flexible Phased Maintenance Program to our growing base of customers," said Amod Kelkar, Head of the Commercial Business Unit and Vice President of Customer Service at Honda Aircraft Company. "High utilization customers require a higher degree of flexibility in maintenance planning, and this evolution of HondaJet’s scheduled maintenance program demonstrates our commitment to continually enhancing the HondaJet ownership experience." What does the new Flexible Phased Maintenance Program do for customers?
  3. The Flexible Phased Maintenance Program divides the 600 hours and 1,200 hours major inspection event tasks as defined in the Airworthiness Limitation and Inspection Manual (ALIM) into four phases at 150-hour intervals while still covering all of the service tasks in Honda Aircraft Company’s regularly scheduled maintenance program. Compared to traditional maintenance programs, the new HondaJet program aims to reduce downtime for aircraft per service event and provides customers with a more efficient cadence of maintenance events. As a result, the operator/customer will see a significant reduction in downtime as per maintenance event.
