  1. Pilatus PC-24 First Jet To Land On Venice-Lido Grass Runway
With certifications for landing on unproven strips such as grass, gravel, wet earth, dry sand and even snow the Pilatus PC-24 was in a good position to attempt a landing at the grass-strip at Venice-Lido airport. It successfully did it becoming the first business jet to do so. The Venice-Lido city airport is located about three kilometers east of the city center on the Lido di Venezia. The PC-24 landed safely on the grass runway 05/23 of just under 1000-meters.
  2. This capability puts customers literally in the city-center with a couple minutes drive from this airport. The PC-24’s outstanding performance on short and unpaved runways opens up an incredible spectrum of flexibility and new possibilities. It means the PC-24 gives you access to almost twice as many airfields worldwide compared to other business jets currently on the market. Of course there are other fast turboprops which regularly land on unproven runways but for a jet to do it is always a remarkable thing to see.
