  1. Better Performance For Textron Aviation In 2018
With the year started and already almost a full month in, let's look at how Textron Aviation performed in the last year. It was a fairly good year for them with the majority of its sectors posting positive results and surpassing the previous years' figures. Textron's Citation jet line continues to perform well with good order intake and deliveries. Speaking of deliveries, Textron shipped 188 executive jets in 2018 which is eight more than in 2017. Turboprop deliveries were also up, 186 in 2018 compared to 155 units in 2017.
  2. The last quarter of 2018 was partly responsible with 63 jets and 67 turboprop aircraft being delivered (Q4 18). Compare this quarter with the last quarter of 2017 and 58 jets and 45 turboprops were sent to their owners/operators. Textron Aviation is focused on getting the Citation Longitude its full FAA certification as you would remember, they were granted a provisional type of certification but had some tweaking to do -particularly with paperwork- in order to gain full certification but Scott Donnelly is confident that they are very close to achieving this. Textron's backlog stood at 1.8 billion up 600 million from the year before.
