Cessna Performance For 2017 Textron Aviation's Cessna brand did okay in 2017 depending on how you count the numbers and which angle you analyze. It would have been a sub-par performance in their King Air turboprop department with those aircraft not meeting 2016 delivery established figures. King Air deliveries totaled 86 for 2017 which was 20 units less than the 106 shipped in 2016.
Cessna would be happier that they delivered 180 Citation jets to customers around the world. That figure represented 6 more units better than in 2016. If they had anything to smile about it is that order intake rose slightly last year. The backlog at the end of the last three months of 2017 represented 1.2 billion dollars which was up by 15 million dollars than what it stood at the end of the Third Quarter.
