  1. Piaggio Aerospace Update
Italian airframer Piaggio Aerospace may be back working to some degree but remember they are still under receivership and still looking for a new owner to purchase the business. There has been some interest by a number of parties but they need more concrete and detailed bids. The Italian Government is playing a huge part in keeping Piaggio Aerospace afloat under its current operational regime. The Government recently confirmed that close to 800 million dollars in contracts for the Italian Defense Ministry has been realized.
  2. This will include the purchase of nine more Piaggio Avanti EVO pusher-prop aircraft. Additionally they will refurbish/upgrade current older Avanti models in the Defense Ministry fleet as well as provide the respective maintenance, support and logistics. They will also be pursuing the certification of the P.1HH Hammerhead UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) and subsequently purchasing two aircraft of the type and a supporting ground station for testing.
