    Viking Air is the company that revived the DHC-6Twin Otter production after it went out of manufacture. They are attending this year's EAA Air Venture at Oshkosh for the first time and they are showcasing their 100th production aircraft at the event. The turbo-prop aircraft is easily identifiable by the prominent Maple-Leaf livery with the words "Proudly Made In Canada 100th".

In 2006, the British Columbia-based manufacturer acquired the type certificates from Bombardier for all out-of-production de Havilland aircraft, and restarted the Twin Otter production line, now known as the Twin Otter Series 400. Viking states, of the first 100 Series 400 Twin Otters manufactured, 70 are configured with standard wheeled landing gear, 18 with straight or amphibious floats, 10 with intermediate flotation gear and two with wheel skis, underscoring the aircraft’s versatility and it’s ability to operate in extreme environments.The DHC-6 Twin Otter is a versatile aircraft as it can be fitted with floats to operate as a seaplane or normal gear configuration for paved runways or even rugged tires for STOL operations from unproven strips.
