  1. Wisk Cora eVTOL To Start Tests With Real Passengers
The latest development with Wisk's Cora eVTOL is that they are looking to commence testing with real passengers. Many of the eVTOLs experimental aircraft are testing the aircraft but not with actual live payload in it. Recently the New Zealand Government and Wisk signed a MoU (memorandum of understanding). All of this is still fresh and there is no word on how many passengers the aircraft will be tested with or even when the live passenger trials will begin.
  2. Regardless, this is the direction that the Wisk Cora needs to go in- in order to be able to attain certification from the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority. Wisk is a joint venture between Kitty Hawk and Boeing and the Cora is meant to be brought to market as a small electric air taxi service. The aircraft has been diligently tested in New Zealand for the last few years (since 2017) and accumulated some 1,000 flights. Wisk CEO, Gary Gysin, said: "We are delighted to now have a signed agreement with the New Zealand Government, which will propel Cora’s entry to the air taxi market. We see this agreement as a sign of confidence in our product and abilities to develop and deliver a safe and reliable air taxi service, starting in New Zealand".
