After Piaggio Aerospace announced that they are going into receivership, this sometimes can mean the end of a company but is it really the end of the Italian manufacturer? In the insolvency they are asking for “extraordinary administration” which allows the government of Italy to appoint a commissar. This will ensure that business can still continue for Piaggio. All of this started on November 22 when Piaggio made this announcement. “Despite the commitment and hard work of everyone at Piaggio Aerospace, as well as the significant financial contribution made over the years by the shareholder, the key fundamental assumptions of the restructuring plan approved in 2017 have not materialized.” Given current market conditions, “the company is no longer financially sustainable,” it added.
