  1. Stratos 714 Very Light Jet
    The Personal Jet Comes of Age

    The Stratos 714 was designed to be the ultimate owner-flown, Very Light Jet.
    No other Very Light Personal Jet (VLPJ) can comfortably seat 4 people and their luggage,
    cruise at speeds in excess of 400 knots and travel as far as 1,500 nautical miles with reserves. ​

    The spacious Stratos 714 is equally comfortable for the pilot and the passengers. It is designed to go places faster and farther. The Stratos 714 was conceived in response to the lack of significant performance improvements of smaller general aviation aircraft. For most owners of today’s high performance piston aircraft and turboprops, most new Very Light Jets don’t offer significantly better performance. Many of today’s VLJ’s are in fact slower or have less range than even the older high performance piston and turboprop aircraft designs!

    The Stratos 714 is designed for the owner-operator, focusing on docile handling qualities and simplicity. The long tail arm (relative distance between the wing and tail), ensures good stability. The Stratos 714’s engine thrust acts close to the aircraft’s center of gravity ensuring no pitch-power coupling contributing to the design objectives of easy handling and low pilot workload. The aircraft will safely land at much lower speeds than twin-engine jets with similar performance. The set-and-forget environmental controls system, auto-pilot, and single lever FADEC controlled Williams engine further reduce the pilot workload.
  2. The sleek all-composite airframe coupled with a Williams FJ44-3AP turbofan engine places the Stratos 714 in a performance quadrant unmatched by any other smaller personal aircraft. Such speed and range has until now been conquered only by the larger and much more costly business jets. The Stratos 714 offers business jet performance in a small personal jet, at a fraction of the cost. To achieve such performance Stratos Aircraft started with a clean sheet design with optimized aerodynamics and selected the powerful Williams International FJ44-3AP engine. With 3,030 lbs (13.5 kN) of static thrust, the Stratos 714 has a higher thrust to weight ratio than any other VLJ.
  3. The Stratos 714 can go anywhere in the Continental United States with a single stop. Flying high above weather at FL 410, the Stratos 714 can travel from Miami to Seattle in less than seven hours against average head winds. A low wing loading and high thrust to weight ratio allows for spectacular climb performance. The Stratos 714 will climb to FL 370 in only 17 minutes at gross weight. The Stratos 714 has better takeoff performance than most similar sized turboprop aircraft. Takeoff distance to 50 ft at sea level on an ISA day is projected to be just under 2,000 feet, outperforming both the TBM 850 and Piper Meridian.

At 4.7 feet (143 cm) in width and 4.8 feet (146 cm) in height, The Stratos Jet has a larger cross section than most similar sized aircraft such as the PiperJet, Piper Meridian, TBM 700/850, and Cessna Mustang. The Stratos was designed to be a roomy four seat aircraft; however, it can seat 5 people. The optional fifth seat mounts between the co-pilot’s and aft right passenger seat.

    Entry into the cockpit area is easier than in most cabin class aircraft. The absence of a center pedestal, and a wide passage between the seats, facilitates entering the front seats. The Stratos 714 will feature the latest in glass cockpit technology. Side stick controls open up the space and visibility of the instrument panel and have established high ratings among pilots. The seats and rudder pedals are adjustable. The cockpit visibility is excellent. With a viewing angle of more than 15 degrees down over the nose, the pilot can safely monitor traffic even while in the steepest climbs.
