Since we had these threads before Cessna, Beechcraft et al came under one brand, I thought I would start a thread for Textron Aviation as a whole as we do not have one. General news from Textron Aviation can be placed in this thread. To start off, Textron Aviation is currently engaged in a hiring drive!
Some sad news out of Textron Aviation where a large explosion at one of Cessna's facilities in Kansas injured as many as 11-15 persons. It would appear this facility was where the new Sky Courier was being assembled. The incident happened a few days ago on the 27th when an explosion in a 3-inch liquid nitrogen gas line occurred.
