Textron completes Beechcraft aquisition

  1. Textron Completes Beechcraft buy

Textron, the parent company of Cessna, has successfully completed the aquisition of Beechcraft Holdings, the parent company of Beechcraft. The plan is to basically bring Cessna and Beechcraft under one group as well as roof and be called Textron Aviation. The acquisition was formally finalized through the purchase of all outstanding equity interest in Beech Holdings.

The unity of these companies creates “a robust industry competitor,” says Textron’s Chairman and CEO Scott Donnelly. Though united, the different companies will keep their proper brands, “to preserve their rich histories and respective strengths in the marketplace,” as Textron Aviation will now produce both Cessna Citation and Hawker business aircraft, King Air twin- and Caravan single-engine turboprops.
