  1. ATG Javelin Personal Jet

Reminiscent of the Northrop T-38 Talon, the ATG Javelin was a two seat, hi-speed personal jet that was originally developed by the Aviation Technology Group (ATG) prior to its bankruptcy in 2008. Originally slated for certification under 14 CFR part 23, it was a different approach to modern, civilian jets.
  2. The design approach and performance of the Javelin drew the interest of some unexpected customers, namely the Air Forces of other countries who saw the Javelin as an affordable trainer, so soon after a variant was developed to fill this niche, the Javelin MK-20, which was developed in conjunction with the Israel Aerospace Industries.
  3. Powered by two Williams International turbojet engines, the first prototype took to the air in September of 2005 with customer orders for 100 Javelin Jets, but unfortunately further testing and development was halted by December 2007 when ATG failed to obtain $200 million in financing. Subsequently, ATG declared bankruptcy in 2008, ending the flight of the Javelin.
  4. ATG planned to produce upwards of ten aircraft at a time and expected to hire up to 150 new employees. Founded by George Bye, ATG's President was Charlie Johnson, the former president of Cessna. ATG was originally based at Centennial Airport, near Englewood, Colorado. They had approx. 56,000 square feet of hangar and manufacturing space at Front Range Airport before their demise.
