The aftermath of an Emergency landing at Mooney of a Bonanza. Pilot walked away safely.

Passengers and crew onboard a Wheels Up Cessna Citation were in for a scare early last month when the door to their jet suddently swung open in flight. The aircraft had just taken off from San Francisco International Airport bound for Michigan when the incident occurred. It happened while the plane was climbing in the vicinity of 2,000 feet. The pilot declared emergency was was able to return to the ground without incident.

The NTSB has pinned blame on Michigan's Gross Ile Airport's (ONZ) management for the incident of a LearJet 35A colliding with a deer while on takeoff roll on June 22nd. They cited that the perimeter fence only surrounds partial area around the runway that separates it from a nearby nature conservatory.

A Piper Aerostar used in the Tom Cruise film "Mena" crashed near Medellin, Colombia, on Friday, killing two and leaving one in critical condition. The U.S. embassy confirmed the crash Sunday, but did not release the names of the occupants. However, local reports say the victims of the deadly crash were veteran Hollywood pilot Alan Purwin and cameraman Carlos Berl. The pilot, Jimmy Lee Garland, survived the crash and is being treated for severe injuries at Medellin hospital. Purwin, who worked on films such as "Pearl Harbor," "Transformers" and "Pirates of the Caribbean," was an experienced helicopter pilot for Hollywood films. On Saturday, Ben Stiller posted to Twitter, "Shocked about the loss of #AlanPurwin. One of the best people I knew and the greatest pilots ever. I put my life in his hands many times." (FLYING)

Interjet Sukhoi SuperJet 100 crashes into jetbridge at Mexico City International Airport on the 25th of October. The incident happened while the aircraft was being towed from a hangar to another location. Interjet says it has launched an investigation surrounding the circumstances that led to the incident.
