Cirrus Aircraft Prepares SF50 For CAPS Testing
The last major hurdle in the testing phases for the Cirrus SF50 program looms. This is the extensive testing of the CAPS system, Cirrus' custom-made parachute system. Test bed aircraft C-1 will be responsible for test and evaluations of the system on the SF50 frame. Once everything goes to plan with testing on C-1, the system will be installed on the other members of the testing program. SF50 product line manager Matthew Bergwall says that they have spent a tremendous amount of time developing the CAPS system for the SF50 so now it is time to confirm everything is working properly in the real world...
