Dassault Aviation set to deliver first 2000S business jet in India
Dassault Aviation is preparing to deliver its new Falcon 2000S business jet into the important Indian market, following certification by the Indian airworthiness authorities. The 2000S was certified on November 1st, continuing a process that began in the spring of 2013 with the receipt of FAA and EASA approvals. The aircraft has already been certified in Brazil, Mexico and Turkey, and Dassault expects approval from the Canadian authorities shortly. Dassault’s New Falcon 5X Makes First Virtual Flight
Dassault Aviation’s next-generation Falcon 5X has performed its first simulated flight, completing an important milestone in the development program. The “flight” was performed November 13 on the Falcon Simulation Bench at the company’s design office in St Cloud, France. Gulfstream G280 Sets City-Pair Record En Route To Dubai
Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.’s super mid-sized G280 established a city-pair record en route to the 13th annual Dubai Airshow, bringing the aircraft’s records total to more than 30. The G280’s record run started at 5:23 p.m. local time Nov. 15 when the aircraft departed from Kuala Lumpur International Airport with Gulfstream pilots Jason Willis and Marilyn Whicker at the controls. The aircraft flew 3,356 nautical miles/6,215 kilometers, landing at Dubai World Airport 7 hours and 34 minutes after takeoff. Its average speed was Mach 0.80.
