  1. Denali Initial Deliveries Delayed By 1 Year
News coming out of the 2022 NBAA-BACE concerning Textron Aviation says that the airframer has announced a delay in the first deliveries of their new clean-sheet Beechcraft Denali. The new timeline is now the second half of 2024. The reason for the delay was stated as to align with the production of the GE Aviation Catalyst engine which of course is what is powering the new Denali. This engine is also a clean-sheet design representing the first brand-new clean-sheet turboprop engine in 50 years.
  2. The Denali was originally expected to enter service by the middle of 2023 but the newly announced delay extends this by a year. Currently there are 3 flight-test aircraft carrying testing flights. The latest one, which is the third and last, is already flying and has pushed the test fleet pass 600 flight test hours so far. Patrons attending NBAA-BACE at the Orlando Executive Airport will be able to see a cabin mockup of the Denali. Alongside the Denali cabin mockup there will be examples of Cessna Citation M2 Gen2 and XLS Gen2 on static display. They will also have a Pipistrel Velis Electro and a Panthera on display. Remember Textron Aviation acquired Pipistrel recently.
